Bob spent a decade working in corporate communications for a number of large companies, including Ernst & Young, Fleishman-Hillard, and Bank of America, as well as The History Factory, where he served as Senior Historian.
He is an internal communications specialist, focusing on executive communications and technology. Bob served as Senior Writer on the 2001 PRSA Silver Anvil winning team in B2B Marketing for Documentum (now part of EMC).
Bob then turned to a career as a college instructor, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic communications, public relations, integrated marketing, and American culture.
For more than a decade, his classes have conducted service learning marketing campaigns for organizations ranging from nonprofits to corporations and startups. Under his guidance, students have created strategic communications plans, implemented tactical campaigns, and raised awareness for products and services.
Currently, Bob consults with organizations on marketing and communications broadly. His work often focuses on storytelling, narrative, and content marketing strategy.
